Summer Reading 2023 is officially over! It went so fast! We had a great time celebrating our community of Conway Springs. How blessed we are.

102 children in our community registered this year. They made placemats for the Friendship Meal participants and the Spring View Manor residents; sent loving postcards to people of their choice; made lots and lots of happy chalk drawings; painted kindness rocks and hid them for others to find; picked up trash around our community; colored pages and gave them to our different community heroes; and made this Librarian smile a lot!

We watched Dan Dan the Magic Man and shared that time with residents of Spring View Manor. And had fun story times. Our Community Heroes Day at the Park was a highlight! The Conway Springs Fire Department provided water for us to play in! Conway Springs EMS and Police Departments let us look inside their vehicles and showed us how things worked. We signed posters for many of our community heroes that will be delivered in the coming days. Special thank you to the Library Board members and the teens that tirelessly helped with all aspects of the program. And many thanks to the Conway Springs Recreation Commission who provided a generous monetary donation for the program!

Our “Rainbow of Friends” bulletin board will be up all summer. So many wonderful children added their names to the hands forming the rainbow. We can celebrate all of our children and know that our communities’ future is in good hands!
